For everyone
Accessibility
Style is for everyone — and this website should be too. Here’s how it’s built, and how to tell me if something isn’t working for you.
My commitment
Everything I do is built on the belief that style is a tool for self-confidence and self-expression — for everyone. This website is made to reflect that: it aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, so that as many people as possible can browse, read and get in touch comfortably.
What’s built in
- A “skip to content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Semantic headings and landmarks, so pages make sense when read aloud.
- Full keyboard navigation, with clearly visible focus outlines.
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Form fields with proper labels on every form.
- Text and layouts that reflow when zoomed, on any size of screen.
- Colour choices checked for contrast against their backgrounds.
- Animations that switch themselves off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- No autoplaying sound or video, and no flashing content.
In person, too
Accessibility doesn’t stop at the website. Styling sessions and workshops are held at a place of your choice, and every service is tailored to the individual — so if there’s anything that would make a session more comfortable or more possible for you, tell me and we’ll build it in. You’re always welcome to get in touch by whichever means suits you best: email, phone or social media.
Where it’s not perfect
A few parts of the experience rely on third-party services — such as form delivery and the fonts the site uses — which I don’t fully control. If any of them ever gets in your way, contact me directly and I’ll make sure you can do whatever you were trying to do another way.
Tell me if something isn’t working
If you find any part of this site hard to use — with a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, or anything else — I genuinely want to know. Email samantha.foreman.au@gmail.com or call 0403 200 795, and I’ll do my best to fix it promptly — and to get you the information you were after in the meantime.
